Day 20. Menomonie to Stanley, WI

Spent last night with another ultra competitor, Tim Roe and his wife Lucie.

They also took in the 3 riders that had joined in, Jeff Lange, Mark Hansen, and his friend Tim Krohn.
Tim Roe was the original Founder of the Tuscobia Winter Ultra and the very first Arrowhead 135 Arrowhead a’Trois Award winner. Only 22 of these awards have ever been issued, completing the AHU 135 in all three disciplines, foot, bike, and ski. I joined that elite group a few years ago, myself.

Jim Brien, who got a kidney 42 years ago from his brother joined us today for some miles as did Jen Jilek, another living kidney donor.

Friend Adam Smit and his son John are riding with us and Adam and his wife Brianna Smit are treating the whole crew to a BBQ today after our 63 mile ride.

Adam submitted an article to the Stanley Republican Newspaper.
