Day 10, TOT 6.5

DAY 10 – May 8

📍 Olathe → University of Kansas Medical Center
🚴‍♂️ Miles: 23

Short miles. BIG impact.

Today’s ride ended at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where Mark and Lynn shared his story this morning on the Kansas University Medical Morning Show, “Morning Medical Update.”

This is where stories change lives.

The show highlights real patient journeys, medical advancements, and conversations that educate and inspire communities across the country. Today’s focus included the power of organ donation and the lives impacted through transplantation.

Logan, in the picture with Lynn and me, is the Producer of The University of Kansas Health System Morning Medical Update, and has been cleared to donate one of his kidneys to a friend.

More pics and interview clips coming soon 👀

✨ Fun fact: “Morning Medical Update” from the University of Kansas Health System features experts and patient stories covering everything from organ transplants.

Another meaningful stop on the journey. 🚴‍♂️

Mark uses a Garmin watch to track every mile of this ride, so he made a stop at Garmin World Headquarters Customer Service to thank them for creating a product that’s been with him through all the highs, lows, headwinds, and long days on the bike.

He also had the opportunity to share the team’s mission and message about the power of organ donation and second chances.

And yes… he scored a new backup charging cable too. 😊

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference out on the road.
