Back on the road and headed toward the Katy Trail.
Said goodbye and a huge thank you to Jim, and welcomed new RV driver Bill Kelly from Milwaukee, WI. Bill and I started canoeing all over Wisconsin together more than 30 years ago with a group of friends, so it was pretty special to reconnect on this journey.
Before hitting the trail, Bill found a local Farmers Market where we stocked up on eggs, fresh vegetables, and assorted meats for the days ahead along the Katy Trail.
Along the way, I also crossed paths with a fellow traveler this morning. He seemed a little nervous at first, but definitely interested in the bike.
We also said goodbye to Lynn as she heads back to Wisconsin after helping with yesterday’s Morning Medical Update. Grateful for everyone helping make this journey possible.
✨ Fun fact: Windsor sits along the Katy Trail — one of the longest rail trails in the U.S. Stretching 240 miles between Clinton and Machens, the trail features 26 trailheads and four fully restored railroad depots along the route.
