Around a year ago I met a man named Brett Ashley in Times Square on our ride from Martha’s Vineyard home to Wisconsin.
He told me the story of how a few years ago when he found out he needed a kidney to eventually maybe just keep on living, he felt it wouldn’t be a problem. He had plenty of friends and family, someone would donate for him.
That didn’t happen.
The best efforts of The Organ Trail weren’t able to help him, either.
But Brett didn’t stop, he kept trying to find that one person, until he did.
A great story!
