Kidney Recipient Returns to ACTION!!

We met Pat and Nancy O’Brien on TOT 4.0, San Diego to Lubbock, TX back in 2022.

At that time Pat was on dialysis and looking for a kidney. They opened their house to us during the ride and we did a few media events together in Albuquerque, along with a couple of bike rides. Pat had to upgrade to an e-bike to keep riding due to his loss of strength and endurance since starting dialysis.

Pat received a kidney from a friend of his wife Nancy last fall. He and his donor, Yvonne, are doing great.

Pat is slowing working up to his mtn bike fitness levels pre-kidney failure and dialysis. Almost back to a normal life.

We went for a nice ride today just north of Albuquerque.
