Day 6. Waukegan, IL to South Chicago.

A nice leisurely ride down the shore of Lake Michigan.

We literally ran into the Annual Illinois Kidney Walk.

Dr. Beje Thomas with his girls. We met Dr. Thomas just a couple days before at the Froedtert event in Milwaukee.

We stayed with friends Scott and Kylia, people we’ve known for years from the ultra-marathon community.

Scottie runs a podcast called TEN JUNK MILES. Scott tells me that at least 2, maybe 3 people have donated a kidney from listening to this podcast. It’s one of the first, if not the first podcasts I’ve done. Scottie and I did this in Oct. of 2020.
