Leg 1. Los Angeles to Phoenix

🚴‍♂️ 430 Miles Down – Rest Day Vibes! 🚴‍♀️
After an incredible 430 miles on The Organ Trail, today is all about REST—recovering, refueling, and recharging for the journey ahead. This ride has already brought so many powerful conversations, meaningful connections, and a growing wave of awareness for kidney disease and living donation.
But before we roll into the next leg… I’ve got to give a HUGE shoutout to Dean Jannene and Gee Gee Jannene —my sister and BIL—for a job well, well, well done.
Day 1 in Los Angeles came with 3 meeting spots spread across 30 miles of classic LA traffic, and the Jannene Team, my sister Gee Gee and her husband Dean, handled it flawlessly. They were the first team to sign up, and they likely tackled the most challenging leg of the route.
You set the tone for this journey with heart, hustle, and humor. THANK YOU doesn’t even begin to cover it.
We’re just getting started—more miles and more impact ahead. The wheels start turning again tomorrow as we continue to ride for awareness, for community, and to show the world what’s possible after organ donation.
💙 Rest today. Ride tomorrow. Let’s go. 💙
